Originally, the media on this website was hosted on a separate server using IPFS (InterPlanetary File System). This new protocol had the promise of being a great system for distributing data. My initial hope for IPFS was to have the peer-to-peer benefits of BitTorrent, but accessible through a web browser so that any user could easily access the files. I was surprised by how complicated this turned out to be from the administration side and how unreliable it was from the user side. While reviewing the technologies used for this site, I found that it was unable to meet my requirements.

Since "Akai Tsurugi" may be difficult for English speakers to memorize, we have secured additional domains to make it more natural for Americans to visit the website. If you can remember this website's name in English, "The Red Sword," you can easily access it.

In the Bible, people received new names when significant changes occurred in the their lives.

But why would a website need a new name?

There have been several changes in my personal life recently that have kept me busy. Because of this, I will be taking a break over the next few months from updating this website with new content.

Originally published in 1611, the King James Bible is the best Bible available to English speakers. The last major, accepted update to the spellings of the text was in 1769. It has stood the test of time and there is a reason for that.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. - Proverbs 1:7

Howdy,

Fear in this context does not mean being afraid of or having anxiety about God, but having a holy reverence of God. Americans have forsaken the fear of God.

I hear people say that we need to pray for our country to recover before it's too late, as if it's only unbelievers, not Christians, that need to get right with God. We do need to pray for our country, and after we're done praying we also need to get up and do something about it, instead of sitting on the couch waiting for someone other than ourselves (such as a politician) to take action. As hard as we try, we should not and cannot outsource the Great Commission.
