Clearly, something is wrong with America when we say that voting for Trump is to "choose the lesser of two evils." By this statement, even those who vote for Trump are admitting that our choices are only between a significant evil or a moderate evil.
The greatest threat to our country is not in Russia, China, or Iran; but rather on our own soil. Stop focusing on Ukraine and Israel. The solution to our national problems isn't to elect the right guy or fix the system (which can't be done at this point). The problem is us, the American people.
Don't go thinking this article is intended to rebuke leftists. Those on the fluffy side of politics likely stopped reading this when their eyes crossed over the word "Trump."
As pastor Chuck Baldwin has said many times, "Our problems aren't political, they're spiritual."
The best that Republicans have achieved is to squabble over how to supervise sinful behavior and destroy the American dollar. How many politicians affiliated with this party publicly advocate for penalizing the murder of unborn babies or for outlawing pornography? How about repealing some of our detrimental Constitutional amendments?
Conservatives fail to realize that the Republican party is filled with Progressives going the speed limit. If that wicked party remains in existence a century from now, it will be far more degenerate than the Democratic party is today. They pay lip service to the Constitution, while they flagrantly abuse it before all to see.
Absolute freedom is not advantageous to man and we must be more discerning about both what is legal and what is culturally acceptable. Instead of evaluating freedom from a wholly theoretical position, look at the reality of our "freedom" today. We haven't had the freedom that our forefathers fought to bequeath us for a long time.1 We can't claim to be the "land of the free" when the vast majority of Americans have fallen into the bondage of debt or addiction.
Our men have been sleepwalking and our women are out of control. All across the country, even in small cities, young girls are walking around half naked and their parents don't do a thing about it! Husbands take pleasure in allowing their wives to leave the house dressed like prostitutes. Abominations are before our eyes daily and we mostly don't even realize it; and if we do, we tolerate them.
We're unable to identify sin anymore, both within our society and within our churches. Indeed, our churches are evidently proud, self-centered, and apathetic. Recently, I've heard professing Christians make statements such as:
It saddens me when I visit churches and Christians act as if everything is just dandy. There is a time to dance and laugh, but also a time to weep and mourn. Now is the time for the latter, but these whited sepulchers are only interested in the former. The farthest most will go is to say that "judgement is nigh!" Their blindness is a tragedy: judgement has been upon our nation for decades already.
How did we get here? Because we Americans, specifically us men, have neglected God in three areas of our lives:
There's certainly a lot more that we should do, but if we can't start with these three basic aspects, there won't be any hope for us or our posterity. Our country is not headed anywhere good—fast.
If we obey God's Word, He will take care of our needs and problems. However, we need to personally know His Word before we can begin to obey it.
P.S. Why is this called Midwest Swaraj instead of American Swaraj? Because the coasts, including Texas, have already been infested with leftists. Nothing but God's miraculous intervention alone can help those areas; and at this rate it looks like God will deal with them soon enough.
There is a clip from a cool documentary called Root Hog or Die (1978) where a common, elderly American farmer stated that we don't have freedom anymore. Nowadays, the average American thinks that freedom means "doing whatever I want;" which usually results in laziness, lasciviousness, and decadence. ↩
