Barbarism

Leftists ruin everything

This is unlike most of the articles on this website. This does not have to do with the Bible.

I have been a fan of the game series, Sid Meier's Civilization for years, although I don't get much free time to play it nowadays. With the announcement of the next major release in the series, Civilization VII, the developers of the game have demonstrated how lifeless the West has become.

Of the significant changes, one is the replacement of the word "barbarians" (although I believe the game mechanic is unchanged) with "independent powers." We can't risk offending anyone! Let's be realistic: no one but soft, over-socialized Westerners will be offended by the word "barbarian." I'm surprised they haven't tried to rename the series itself, since their comrades may be insulted by the word "civilization."

At any rate, the most appalling change does indeed touch the mechanics of the game. When a player advances to a new era, all civilizations will also advance to that next era at the same time. What's the point of rushing science and technology, if the game's welfare overlords will just even the playing field? Perhaps there is a new victory condition where every civ wins too. At the very least, every player should get a medal so they don't feel left out.

This flagrant disregard for the history of the series, and reality itself, reveals how the mental disease of liberalism has eroded every area of American civilization. The developer's appeal was that no civilization lasts forever, but they fail to realize that this is a game! Governments and nations may change, but civilizations have lasted for thousands of years. The point of the game is to create a civilization that lasts to the end of the game and is victorious.

They claimed that the game was too hard for new players, so they needed to make the game easier. Japanese games were dumbed down for Americans in the past, but now we can't even handle our own games any more!

Speaking of Japan…

There hasn't been hope for Assassin's Creed for quite some time, but now Ubisoft's blatant wokeism is in full display with their newest release in the series, Assassin's Creed Shadows. Their willful disregard for Japan's history and culture is a disgraceful insult to the Japanese. How can a game that relies on stealth feature a character who would be the most conspicuous person in 16th century Japan?

Westerners are offended by the word "barbarian" because their world is quickly descending from peak decadence, reflected by the dearth of creativity and good art, and will soon crash into a state of barbarism.
