Early Christians first heard God's Word from someone reading it to them. The Scriptures were spoken to the audience, then recorded in text. A prophet spoke, then he, or another, wrote down the words. Jesus spoke, then His disciples wrote down the words.

The standard Bible for English-speaking nations: translated by scholars of the original languages, of whose caliber we may never see the likes of again, in a beautiful and poetic style that pierces the heart. Perhaps the most prolific Bible of all time, partly due to its usage by missionaries during the height of the American missionary movement: in which many other tongues first heard the word of God being translated from. No other Bible has trained as many of God's people as this Bible.

In recent decades there has been a great attack on the Bible, specifically the King James. This has resulted in many Americans turning away from it. The #1 reason people say they don't read the KJV now is because it is "too hard" to read.
